About Us 2017-02-14T09:18:04+00:00

Hello!

Pulp & Pixel is a small Montreal-based graphic design studio where we do it all. We always put our heart and soul into every project we take on.

From coast-to-coast and everywhere in between

Pulp & Pixel was founded in 2013 in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia by Jonathan Lefrançois. Since then, we’ve moved our offices to the wonderful city of Montreal, Quebec, and we continue to do business with clients around the world. Though we usually work remotely, we’re also happy to meet over coffee (or a glass of rosé!)

We have a soft-spot for community organisations, social justice groups, and emerging small businesses. We love to make great visions come to life with our designs, and that’s why we love working with people whose mission aligns with ours.

We may be small but we can do it all!

Whether you’re starting from scratch, have a specific product in mind, or are looking to hit the refresh button, we’ve got you covered. We specialise in visual identity, logo, and print design, but we also offer complete solutions for digital products, website design, printing, photography and more.

Beyond our in-house expertise, we work closely with other professionals in the fields of web development, copywriting and printing so that you get the full package without running around trying to piece the puzzle together. We aim to make things simple so that you can enjoy the process and spend more time doing what you’re good at.

Like any good Montreal-based business, on offre aussi un service en français!

We love those who want to make the world better

We get along especially well with non-profit and community organisations, so even if your budget is smaller than your mission, we’re happy to work with you to help you make a difference in the world. A portion of our work hours are dedicated to pro-bono and volunteer projects and we believe that everyone should have access to great print and web design, no matter what they can afford. We tailor our solutions to your situation so that together, we can make our community a better one.

To find out more about what we do, check out our services or contact us and we can get the ball rolling.

Hello there! It’s nice to meet you—virtually, at least. I’m Jonathan, the founder and art director of Pulp & Pixel and I thought I’d share a little bit more about me.

I work with many non-profits and social advocacy groups in Canada. I want to work with groups whose vision aligns with mine, and emerging businesses and that’s why I dedicate a portion of my time and talent for those who have a mission to make the world a better place.

I started my design career many years ago as a hobby, creating concert and event posters in Montreal. Today, I like to tackle projects large and small and I continue to attend courses and seminars to expand my skill set. In the past several years I’ve lived between Montreal and Vancouver, and have worked with clients across North America, in Asia, Africa, and Europe, ranging in size from small start-up companies to larger international non-profits.

I am especially inspired by bold colours, clean typography, and the work of great designers of minimalist design like Saul Bass, Dieter Rams, Charles and Ray Eames, and Paul Rand. Like most creatives, you can find me working with an espresso by my side, and the music turned up high.

Think I’ve got what it takes to bring your visions to life? Let’s chat and get the ball rolling.
